He was predeceased by: his parents, R. W. Thurman and Kathleen Lee Thurman. He is survived by: his wife Pam Coffman Thurman of Pulaski, Tennessee.; his children, Josh Thurman of Lavergne, Tennessee., Daniel Thurman (Giselle) of Murfressboro, Tennessee. and Julie Thurman of San Ramon, California.; his grandchildren, Bryson, Olivia, Isabella Lee, Ava, Addison and Chloe; his great grandchild Emberlyn; his brother Ronald Thurman (Charlene) of Lewisburg, Tennessee.; his mother-in-law June Coffman of Franklin, Tennessee.; his niece Karla Gardner (Michael) of Pulaski, Tennessee.; and his brothers-in-law, Randy Coffman (Susan) of Thompsons Station and Cecil Derryberry of Petersburg, Tennessee..

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory (1910 Elkton Pike, Pulaski, TN 38478). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
