He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Cotham and Arlie B. Cotham; his wife Merron J. Cotham; his children, Leon, Samuel, Ollis, Alvin and Dorothy; and his siblings, James, Betty and Sarah.
He is survived by: his children, Roy A. Cotham, Coy Cotham, Sr., Lyvonne Neal, Merron Brown (Lee), Melvin Cotham (Pamela), Sandra Cotham and Jacqueline Ambrose (Ali); his daughter-in-law Mamie Cotham; his grandchildren, Crystal D. Cotham, Ashley Cotham (Marci), Coy Cotham, Jr., Demetria Cotham, Tony Cotham (Loretta), Chiquita Peoples (Jessica), Tesa Hendrix, Monika Cambric (Justin), Robert S. Neal, Brenda Dangerfield (Ken), Kenneth Duke (Latina), Ronda G. Duke, Ambrose English (Muqeet), Shawntele Fuller, Lamar Brown (Britany), Makayla N. Brown, Samantha Bush (Thomas), Shawna Snorton (Alex), Sierra Porto-Siurnao (Kalani), Katina Coleman (Dexter), Cameron, David Francis Jr. (Rebecca) and Indigo Abell (Leonard); and his siblings, Eula'mae Sowell, Howard Cotham, Eugene Jr. Cotham (Penelope), Marvin Cotham (Doretha) and Patricia Cotham.
