He was predeceased by: his parents, Houston Charles and Essie B. Stagner Charles; his sister Mary Jane Taylor; and his brother-in-law Joe Decker. He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Charles (Stephanie) of Puryear and Bert Charles (Angela) of Puryear; his niece Kathy Johnson (Rocky) of Union City; his nephew Charles Taylor (Rhonda) of Puryear; and his sister-in-law Vicki Decker of Moss Point, Mississippi.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
