He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Arnette and Audrey Arnette; his siblings, Andrew, James, Mary Ruth Sheppard and Sarah Lou Arnold; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Jernigan, Dorothy Jamison, Ralph Sheppard and Tony Arnold.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Hesson Arnette; his children, Susan Tolleson (Greg) of Kansas City, Ben Starnes (Chip) and Mike (Sandi) of Montgomery, AL.; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Gonzalez (Max), Linsey Wingard (Cody), Lauren Beck (Michael), Richard Whitehead (Hope), Audrey Atkins (Garret), Aden Arnette and Olivia Tolleson; his great grandchildren, Mickey, Dexter Beck and Whitley Whitehead; his siblings, Robert Allen, Thomas Hoyte and Hazel Audrey; and his siblings-in-law, Peggy, Chris, Jack Carey, Barbara Belt and Wayne Belt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
