We are sad to announce that on May 9, 2023, at the age of 75, James Pat Norton of Riceville, Tennessee, born in Franklin, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James Patrick Norton, Jr. and Dorothy Brogden Norton. He is survived by : his brother David P. Norton; his sister-in-law Anita Maddox Norton; his wife April Wilson Norton; his children, Marta (Eric Bank) of Monument, Colorado. and Brent (Rhonda Knittel) of Loudon, Tennessee.; his siblings, Judy Norton Colby (Ron) of Englewood, Kenneth W. (Kathy Norton) of Athens and Stephen Norton of Vernon, Arizona.; his grandsons, Jack Schulz, Nick Schulz and Matthew Knittel; and his great grandchild Aaron Knittel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
