It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clair Bertil Burkett of Ridgely, Tennessee, who passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Hardy C. Burkett and Lettie Pearl Sager Burkett; his daughters, Lettie Rebecca Burkett and Sherrill Denise Burkett; his siblings, Larry Burkett, Ben Burkett, Lynn Burkett, Geraldine Suiter and Mary Marvin; and his grandsons, Caden Burkett and Jacob Scott.
He is survived by : his wife Wanda Lafferty Burkett of Ridgely, TN; his children, Regina Rhodes (Larry) of Ridgely, TN, Larry Burkett (Lori) of Dyersburg, TN, James Burkett of Ridgely, TN, Philip Burkett of Ridgely, TN and Gerald Burkett of Tiptonville, TN; and his sisters, Fannie Nunnery of Ridgely, TN, Betty Verlene Bray (Gil) of Tiptonville, TN and Corinne Buchanan (Richard) of Hornbeak, TN. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
