He was predeceased by: his parents, Coleman Wood and Dorothy Bryant Wood; his wife Betty Sue Wood; and his grandson Patrick Runions, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Kim Lee (Ben) of Tupelo, MS, Shannon Bates (Mike) of Ridgely, TN, Ronald Wood (Deb) of Ridgely, TN, Mike Wood (Tina) of Tiptonville, TN and Gilbert Wood (Janice) of Dyersburg, TN; his sisters, Wanda Bargery of Hornbeak, TN and Sue Bates of Clarksville, TN; Sally. He is also survived by "PePaw" to his 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dyersburg Funeral Home Ridgely Chapel (515 S Headden Dr, Ridgely, TN 38080). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Haven Cemetery (1185 Madie Rd, Ridgely, TN 38080).
