With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Donald D Smith of Ripley, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Donald left this world on June 30, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert S. Smith and Mamie "Opal" Smith; his daughter Laurie Ann Smith; his granddaughter Ashley Dawn; and his siblings, Virginia, Leland, Clara (Sis), Betty, Marjorie, Phyllis (Jean), Beverly Wanda (Jo), Robert and Anna.
He is survived by: his wife Judy K. Smith; his sons, Aaron D. (Robin Smith), Douglas A. (Lynn Smith) and Bradley D. (Carrie Smith); and his sister Jacqulin. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Rose Hill Cemetery (725 E South St, Mt Ayr, IA 50854). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at the Seymour Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations are made to the Leon and Seymour Community Centers in Don's memory.
