He was predeceased by: his parents, Finis Long and Ruth Lovelle Long (Huey); his wives, Juanita Long (Turner) and Marlene Long; his brothers, Lloyd Long and Gaylon Long; and his stepchildren, John Carlton, Janet Thompson and June Carlton.
He is survived by: his sons, Billy Wayne Long (Robin) of Union City, Tim Long (Trisha) of Union City and Shane Long (Kristy) of Union City; his grandchildren, Abigail Long, Sarah Hutcheson (Brandon), Lindsay Beth Wallace (Trevor), Caleb Long (Shea), Audrey Long, David Long and Natalie Long; his sisters, Imogene McLemore of Memphis, Janice Bookout of Union City and Betty Isbell of Union City; and his stepchildren, Richard Carlton of Maryland and Cindy Veach of Newbern. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
