He is survived by: his children, Byron Shell of Elk Park, NC and Buffy McKinney (James) of Elk Park, NC; his grandsons, Kelly Falin (Margaret) and Justin Falin (Jessica) of Elk Park; his siblings, Sylvia (Fred) of Elk Park, Penny Tolley of Hampton, Audrey Smith of Hampton, Barbara Gardner of Newland, NC and Sandy Bill Shell (Mary Beth) of Newland, NC; and his great grandchild Abigail Falin of Elk Park. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
A graveside service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Morgan Branch Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery (310 Morgan Branch Rd, Roan Mountain, TN 37687).
