It is with sadness that the passing of Joyce Jarrett of Roan Mountain, Tennessee is shared. Joyce, born on August 26, 1932, passed away on October 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Holden and Nannie Sluder Holden; her husband Herman Jarrett; her son Rickie Jarrett; her siblings, Norene Honeycutt, Tennie Arrowood, Lon Holden, Julian "Creed" Holden and Norman Holden; and her son-in-law Britt Barnett.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda K. Barnett, Easter Laws (Lynn), Teresa Jarrett, Treka Ellis (David), Darlene McClain (Jerry) and Sherlene Hughes (Donny); her sisters, Christine Carrico, Eula Mae Jarrett, Grace Stafford and Mattie Lou McKinney; and her close friend Donna Ronayne. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Burbank Freewill Baptist Church (122 Burbank Rd, Roan Mountain, TN 37687). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in memory of Josephine to Burbank Free Will Baptist Church.
