We bid farewell to Katherine Rasmussen of Roan Mountain, Tennessee, born in Chicago, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 27, 2025 at the age of 88. Katherine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Joan, Patricia, Rosalind, John, Wayne and Peter.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas Rasmussen; her children, Kathy Baker (Dale) and Edwin Holt; her grandchildren, Dale Baker (Cindel) and Katherine Lesch (Seth); and her great grandchildren, William, Simon, Alice and Louis Lesch. She is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Tetrick Rhododendron Chapel (8460 US-19E, Roan Mountain, TN 37687). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Happy Valley Memorial Park (2708 Elizabethton Hwy, Johnson City, TN 37601-7107). A reception will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 11:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
