He is survived by: his wife Bernice Smithers Newport; his children, Rickey Lee Newport of Oneida, Christopher Newport (Stephanie) of Helenwood and Denise Massengale of Pioneer; his grandchildren, Dallas "DJ" Newport (Bray Lynn), Ryan Newport, Chase Human (Emily), Destiny Roysdon (Alex), Courtney Newport, Caitlin Phillips and Raylie Bush; his great grandchildren, Deegan Chambers, Jaida, Josie Roysdon, Hunter, Grainger, Jacelynn, Jannah Newport, Ryker Bush, Haylee Human and Lily Griffith; his sister Onnie Lee Newport; and his siblings-in-law, Homer, Phyllis Jeffers, Estle and Arvil Smithers. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
