With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cindy Lynn Koons of Rock Island, Tennessee, who passed away on July 6, 2025 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Parker and Geneva Jernigan Elrod; her grandparents, Thurman, Grace Parker, Albert and Pauline Parker Jernigan; and her husband Jimmy Koons of McMinnville, TN.

She is survived by: her daughters, April Jakes (Alan) of McMinnville, TN and Chantell Jones (Larry) of McMinnville, TN; her stepson Bobby Koons of Indiana; her grandchildren, Tyler McClure, Cody McGee (Kayla), Caleb Willeby, Andrew Willeby, Lyndsey Jones, David Koons and Wyatt Koons; her great grandchildren, Kolby McClure, Jace McGee, Elena McGee, Rhett McGee and Gage McClure; her siblings' children, Jennifer Parker, Amy Vadakin, Brad Parker, Joey and Sean Jenkinson; her brothers, James Turner, Jr. (Missy) of Rock Island, TN and Rick Parker (Susan) of Murfreesboro, TN; and her siblings-in-law, Joe and Ruth Ann Jenkinson.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the New Voice Worship Center (9126 Old Nashville Hwy, McMinnville, TN 37110).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cody and Kayla McGee at Citizens Tri-County Bank or to assist the family with funeral expenses via High's Venmo (https://www.venmo.com).
