He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Donalson and Alyce Donalson; his stepmother Barbara; and his sister Cindy Donalson Terry. He is survived by: his wife Lisa; his children, Sara Donalson Niday and Steven Donalson; his stepsons, Marc and Nicolas Grable; and his siblings, Tom, Tim, Ricky, Marcus and Cathy. He is also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews.
