Newby; her children, Jason Newby (Shelley) of Knoxville, TN, Mechele Hardy (Jonathan) of Chattanooga, TN and Jeremy Newby of Murfreesboro, TN; her grandchildren, Sarah Hardy, Megan Sykes (Bryan), Jonas Newby and Ellis Newby; her siblings, Janine Tankersley (Rick) of Covington, TN, David Pfountz (Connie) of Lebanon, TN, Carl Pfountz (Brenda) of Lexington, TN and Joe Pfountz (Rhonda) of Jacksonville, FL; and her siblings-in-law, David Newby (Denise) of Rome, GA, Willie Newby (Donna) of McMinnville, Manie Newby (Rena) of Rock Island and Angel Powell of Rock Island. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the High's Chapel (1138 Laurel Creek Rd, Rock Island, TN 38581). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
