She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennie Franklin Smithson and Juanita Yell Smithson; her husband William Edward Freeman; and her brother Mike Smithson. She is survived by: her sisters, Connie Smithson Sweeney (Jerry) of Chapel Hill, TN and Rita Smithson Hobby (Richard); and her mother-in-law Alice Freeman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
