He was predeceased by : his parents, Curtis Burks and Virginia Burks; and his brothers, Jack, Jerry, Rick and Randy Burks.

He is survived by : his children, Laura, Nathan, Chad, Josh, Matthew, Jessica, Jeremy, Ryann, Jeffrey and Brandon; his grandchildren, Elliot, Anna, Natalie, Henry, Caralyn, Laila, Gabby, Payton, Matthew, Ashley, Braylee and Kayven; and also Joe Burks.
