With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Matthew Sherril of Rockwood, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 25, 2025 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Albert Sherrill and Dixie Sue Smith Sherrill; and his aunt Wanda Smith. He is survived by: his children, Thor Cox (Anasticia) of Anderson, Kassidy Brown of Middletown and Keegan Brown of Middletown, Indiana.; his grandchildren, Lilly Cox, Teddy Cox and Matthew Brown; his sister Lisa Sherrill of Spiceland; the mother of his children Misti Cox; his daughter Christy Brown; and his close friend Steve Phillips of Middletown, Indiana.. He is also survived by cousins, aunts, and uncles.
