He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Hale and Betty Lou Hale; and his sister Betty Rogers. He is survived by: his daughter Ashley Barger of Rogersville; and his siblings, Cheryl Argo (Rommie) of Kingsport, Dorothy Wilmer (Harvey) of Kingsport, Della Tate (Jerry) of White Pine, Doretha Hale of Knoxville, Samantha Maxwell of Rogersville and James "Jimmy" Kyle of Rogersville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
