She was predeceased by: her husband Clyde Venable; her parents, Roy Lawson and Bonnie Gonce Lawson; and her siblings, Juanita Elkins and Conley Lawson.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Sutherland (Roger) of Kingsport, Dale Venable (Diane) of Rogersville and Gene Venable (Susan) of Mt. Carmel; her grandchildren, Brandy Venable, Allison Venable Beck (Brad), Tyler Venable, Elijah Sutherland and Maddie Sutherland Collins (Jonathon); and her great grandchildren, Evan Goins, Brinley Beck and Aubrey Beck. She is also survived by one niece and three nephews.
