He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore "Ted" Gardner and Rosa Cox Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Smith Gardner; his daughter Yvette Munsey (Eddie) of Rogersville; his granddaughters, Kayla and Elishia Harrell; his great grandchild Jameson Bundren; and his siblings-in-law, Eddie and Brenda Buchanan of Church Hill.
