He is survived by: his wife Shelvy Trent; his children, Ashley Trent, Jonathon "Johnboy" Trent and Crystal "Dawn" Redd; his siblings, Jenette Patton (Allen), Leona Crow (Ralph) and Tony Helton; his siblings' children, Natoshia Hale (Daniel), Katayia Miller (Fernando Chavez), Danieshia Miller and Wilbey Miller; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Emma Hale, Ivana Chavez, Hazel, Jurnee, Charlotte, Nathaniel Hale, Eli Hale, Issac Hale, Tanner Hale and Exavier; his sister-in-law Almeda Miller; and his pet Blackie.
