He was predeceased by: his grandson Victor Charles Mendoza II; his father Lewis Smith, Sr.; and his grandparents, Doug Moore and Linda Bell Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Smith; his children, Victor Mendoza, Chevelle Mendoza and Lewis K Smith; his grandchildren, Destiny Mendoza, Spencer Mendoza, Mercedez Mendoza, Victoria Mendoza, Bentley Smith and Ryder Smith; his great grandchildren, Amora Andrade and Tanner Bowlin; his mother Susie Smith; and his sisters, Sue Smith, Geri Carpenter and Polly Moore. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
