With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elsie Jerlene Mowell of Rogersville, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 19, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Guy Mowell, Sr.; her parents, Evan Johnson and Hannah Goins Johnson; her sons, Guy Mowell, Jr. and Michael "Meme" Mowell; her grandson Brian Mowell; and her siblings, Zona Lamb, Irene Mowell, Caner Johnson and Bascom Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Regina Wallen (Jimmy) and Lawrence Mowell of Rogersville; her grandchildren, Andy Mowell (Tina), Josh Mowell (Allison), Jeremy Mowell, Dustin Wade, Jordan Hice (Aleshia), Whitney Taylor and Drew Gaskins; her great grandchildren, Alex Bankson, Morgen Mowell, Gavin Mowell, Kinslee Mowell, Branson Mowell, Embrie Mowell, Jared Hice, Presliee Hice, Brody Spears, Aaliyah Spears, Teagan Spears, Sarafina Cornelius, Colton Taylor and Hunter Mowell; her great great grandchildren, Lincoln Bankson, Oaklynn Bankson, Charlotte Cohen and Zaelyn Spears; her daughter-in-law Teresa Mowell; and her sister Helen Hoard of Morristown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and all of her church family.
