She was predeceased by: her parents, John Daniel Lester and Lura Vance Lester. She is survived by: her husband Jack Boggs; her daughter Laura Deana McMillan of Morristown; and her sisters, Betty Schmalenberg of Jonesborough and Ellen Jones of Dandridge.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Broome Funeral Home, Inc. (513 E Main St, Rogersville, TN 37857). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A committal service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the same location. After Covid in 2021, Etta was diagnosed with hypersensitivity pneumonitis and attempted to qualify for a lung transplant.
