He is survived by: his wife Mary Risner; his children, Glenn Risner of Rogersville, Donna Potts (Kenny) of Madisonville, KY, Scott Risner (Nicole) of Rogersville and Kim Risner of Abingdon; his grandchildren, Tyler Risner (Brandi), Brandon Risner, Gunner Risner (Autumn), Rebecca McCoy (Dilan), Garrison Risner, Kaitlin Kennedy (Trenton) and Allie Casey (Jake); his great grandchildren, Saylir, Nayvee Risner, Rowan Risner and Anchor James Risner; his siblings, Rita Gail Miracle of Rogersville, Terry Risner of Mt. Carmel and Dewey Risner, Jr. (Pam) of Kingsport; and his pet Rocky Risner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and special companion.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Broome Funeral Home Chapel (513 E Main St, Rogersville, TN 37857). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at the TBD Hawkins County Memorial Gardens (536 Carters Valley Lp, Rogersville, TN 37857).
