She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Carpenter and J. J. Carpenter. She is survived by: her husband Phillip Larry Boyd; her children, Hannah Boyd Bell (Forrest) of Atlanta, Julia Hoover (Larry) of Nashville, Susan Rice (Barry) of Rogersville and Daniel Boyd (Melissa) of Rogersville; her grandchildren, Will Hoover, Forrest Bell, Jr. (Katlyn), Hannah Hoover, Peyton Bell, Kathryn Hoover, Carter Rice, Carson Rice, Eli Boyd, Carly Rice and Anna Mae Boyd; and her nibling Carpenter Cousins.
