It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert J. Schaefers Sr. of Rogersville, Tennessee, who passed away on September 20, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Schaefers and Clara Schaefers; and his wife Joann. He is survived by: his family, Donna and Pam; his children, Robert "Bobby" Schaefers, Jr. (Rene), Donna Collins (Rick) and Pam Buckner (Tony); his grandchildren, Samantha Schaefers and Colten Buckner; his sisters, Miriam Melfy of Erie, PA and Claire Schaefers of Erie, PA; his siblings-in-law, Joyce Weems (Don) and Jimmy Wallen (Karen); his close friends, Darryl and Carolynn Gardner; Tex and Robin Tipton. He is also survived by friends and family members and his church family.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hope Community Church (4163 US-11W, Rogersville, TN 37857). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
