Betty Jo Lasater Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Jo Lasater of Rutherford, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 18, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Betty may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Betty touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Vaughn and Jean Pullias Vaughn; and her husband Ed Lasater. She is survived by: her daughter Mala Womack; her brothers, Butch Vaughn (Joan), Chuck Vaughn (Cathie) and Mike Vaughn (Sara); her cousin Sue Jennings; her grandchildren, Stephen Womack and Ashton Rosati (Michael); and her great grandchild Hallie Rosati.
