He was predeceased by : his parents, T. L. Wilson and Ruby Wilson; his wife Mary Evelyn Wilson (Fletcher); and his siblings, Harry Wilson, Bill Wilson, Charles Wilson, Ray Wilson, Freddie Green, Ailene Martin and Maxine Owens.

He is survived by : his son Robert F. Wilson (Deloris); his grandson Matthew T. Wilson (Jamie); and his great grandchildren, Claire and Julia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
