With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel Lee Bownes of Rutherford, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 12, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Marion Bownes; his parents, Clarence Bownes and Eudra Bownes; his daughter Faye Coulson; and his brother Carl Bownes.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Walkup (Johnny); his sister June Anson (Albert); his grandchildren, DJ, Brenda, Christy, Shelby and Johnny Ray; and his great grandchildren, Tucker, Dixie, Breanna and Joey.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home (820 S Church St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
