We are sad to announce that on June 14, 2025, at the age of 81, Edward Earl Smith of Rutherford, Tennessee, born in Hardinsburg, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Coleman J. Smith and Virginia Lee Smith; his sister Margie Nichols; and his brother-in-law Bob Bean. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Smith; his children, Robert Smith (Valerie), Darrell Smith (Cindi) and Kimberly Meyer (Richard Lee); and his siblings, Coleman Smith (Patricia), Donald Smith (Ellen), William Smith (Mary), Eugene Smith (Darnell), Emma Jean Bean and Loretta Williams (Jay). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home (820 S Church St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Milton Cemetery.
