She was predeceased by : her parents, John Ray and Nellie Elizabeth Hughes Bumpus; her husband James Michael Dyer; her sons, Jason Eric Jones and Timmy Dyer; and her sister Anita Marie Bumpus.

She is survived by : her stepdaughters, Angie Lokey and Tammy Brown; her sisters, Elizabeth C. Dunkerson, Marsha Faye Bumpus and Mary Kathleen Bumpus; and also BJ Spurling.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home (820 S Church St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
