We announce the death of Paulette Cooper Mears of Rutherford, Tennessee, who passed away on October 27, 2026, at the age of 80. Paulette will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William E. Mears; her parents, Paul Gray and Pauline Todd Cooper; and her sisters, Pam Cooper Parker and Patricia Cooper.
She is survived by: her daughters, Amy Willis (Clyde) and Lori Marrs (Steve); her stepchildren, Sara Rollins (Mitchell) and William Mears; her niece Tiffany Cope; her grandchildren, Brianna Fann, Hunter Fann (Michaela), Heather Anderson (Tim), Stacie McMahon (Rob), McKala Chandler (Jonathan), Hope Jenkins (Jonah) and Collin Rollins; and her great grandchildren, Sara Kate, Walker, Liv, Skylar, Lyla, Nico and Miles.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home (820 S Church St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church of Christ Disaster Relief Fund.
