It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Veneeta Marie King of Rutherford, Tennessee, who passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Wayne King; her parents, Edward Matt Dodson and Pearlie Lee Dodson; her brother David Dodson; and her stepgrandson Eli Joseph Reyes.
She is survived by: her children, Roger Wayne King (Pauline) of New Albany, Indiana, Michael Edward King (Bum) of Thailand and Pamela Leigh Eling (Stefan) of Savannah, Georgia.; her grandchildren, Brian Bailey King (Teresa), Taylor Ann Eling and Matthew Stefan Eling; and her great grandchildren, Mikayla and Emma King.
Donations in Mrs. King's memory would be greatly appreciated to St. Jude Research Hospital or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
