He was predeceased by: his parents, Burgess McDaniel and Agnes Mae McDaniel; and his siblings, Tom McDaniel and Betty Pinter. He is survived by: his wife Diane McDaniel; his daughter Shawn Delaney (Lowell); his stepsons, Chris and Jason Greenlee; his grandchildren, Tyler, Dane, Gage and Bella; his sisters, Jean Johnston and Jackie LaFrinere; his aunt Lucille; his sister-in-law Darlene Carroll; his nephews, Tony McDaniel and Mattley Massengill; and his close friends, Jim and Donna Rose. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Reagan Funeral Home (326 Water St, Rutledge, TN 37861). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Morelock Cemetery.
