He was predeceased by: his wife Donalene Garland Hodge; his daughter Janet Lynn Hodge Collins; his parents, J. Frank Hodge and Helen Cameron Hodge; his siblings, Blanche Hodge Longmire and Raymond F. Hodge; and his brother-in-law Conard H. Longmire.

He is survived by: his niece Diann Longmire Foister; his nephews, David Longmire and Derald Longmire; his brothers-in-law, David Garland, Darrell Garland (Peggy Garland) and Louis Wells (Doris Garland Wells); and his pet Katey. He is also survived by great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
