He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Layfette Emerson and Virginia Clark (Glispy); his daughter Danielle Emerson; and his sister Betty Jernigan. He is survived by: his wife Patty Emerson (McDonald) of Saulsbury; his children, Sonya Emerson (Walter) of Atoka, Tatum Marlow (Joe) of Ridgely, Raiann Tivey (James) of Newbern, Robert Emerson of Florida, Danny Emerson of Florida and Geno Emerson of Ripley; his brother Clifford Clark, Jr. (Pat) of Memphis; his siblings-in-law, Carla Hoffman (Darrell) of Union City, Rita Spicer of Murfreesboro and Marty Sikes (Kathy) of Elk Ridge, Maryland; and his pet Opie. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
