As Herbert departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Herbert may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Herbert leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Noblin Herbert Bailey and Myrtie Bell Freeman Bailey; and his wife Patricia Ann "Pat" Cagle. He is survived by: his children, Pamela G. Bailey Brown (Joe), Brown, David Clark Bailey (Rachel Bailey) and Misti Marie Bailey Pickett (Ricky Walter Pickett, Jr.); and his brother Daniel.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cornerstone Baptist Church (150 Park St, Savannah, TN 38372). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 24th 2026 at the Memory Gardens of Hardin County (17361 TN-69, Savannah, TN 38372).
