It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Lassiter (Savannah, Tennessee), born in Corinth, Mississippi, who passed away on December 16, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Holder Dolgier and Pardie Ophelia Harrison Lassiter; and his children, James Tod Lassiter and Miriam Pardie Garrison. He is survived by : his wife Mary Virginia Lassiter of Savannah, Tennessee; his children, Jonathan Trellis Lassiter of Savannah, Tennessee, Joanna Katherine Pitts of Selmer, Caryn Rebecca Gaastra of Cullman, Julie Lynn Walker of Memphis and Laura Elaine Wells of Nashville, Tennessee; and his siblings, Donas Lassiter, Leon Lassiter, Bobby Lassiter, Geraldine Melvin, Joella Rhodes and Annette Lassiter. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
