It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Tinin (Savannah, Tennessee), who passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ella Graham and Alfred Graham; her husband James Hubert Tinin; her siblings, Doris Jean Oakley and Alfred Graham; and her great grandchildren, Lauren Ashley McAfee and Jada Ruth.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Thurman of Savannah, Tennessee and Tommy Tinin of Clifton, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Susan McAfee (Joe) of Savannah, Dave Boroughs (Bobbie Ann) of Savannah, Melissa Ruth (Nick) of Olive Hill, Paige Davis (Travis) of Sharon and Megan Littrell (Jake) of Waynesboro, Tennessee; her great grandchildren, Brandon McAfee of Savannah, Jordan Boroughs of Savannah, Kelsey Cherry (Justice) of Savannah, Josalyn Ruth of Olive Hill, Dawson Slone of Sharon, Jonathan Davis of Sharon, Garrett Ruth of Olive Hill, Remi-Kate Slone of Sharon and Addison Littrell of Waynesboro, Tennessee; and her great great grandchild Laurelyn Cherry of Savannah, Tennessee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Savannah (450 Church St, Savannah, TN 38372). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at the Clifton Cemetery (405 Walnut St, Clifton, TN 38425).
