Though Barbara Ann may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Barbara Ann touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Rhodes and Gertrude Lambert Rhodes; her husband William M. Wood Jr.; and her sister Carlean Gray. She is survived by: her niece Carolyn Ann Wolfe (Scotty) of Jackson, TN; her great-nephews, Blake Wolfe, Bailey Wolfe and Peyton Wolfe; and her cousins, Doris Nalin of Evansville, IN and Ralph Mills of Acton, TN. She is also survived by extended family, friends and caregivers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Selmer (160 Cypress Ave, Selmer, TN 38375). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at the Michie Cemetery (6200 TN-22, Michie, TN 38357). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
