It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobby Gene Ray (Selmer, Tennessee), who passed away on April 20, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Wade Ray and Mary Lillard Whitten Ray; his wife Flora Janette Barham; his brother Joe Manard Ray; and his close friend Brenda Law.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Todd Ray (Stacie) of Savannah, Tennessee, Robin Ann Moore (Wayne) of Selmer and Ginger Nicole Hurley (James) of Jackson, Tennessee; his siblings, Olla Wier of Germantown, Lola Murray (John) of Bethel Springs and Jerry Ray (Margaret) of Hermitage, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Andrew Moore (Shelby), Eric Moore (Monica), Kaylee Blakely (Brandon), Garner Ray, Branton Stephens, Amanda Newman and Brittney Stephens; and his great grandchildren, Lillian Blakely, Wade Blakely, Maddie Moore, Ripp Moore, Conner Plunk, Weston Plunk, Violet Moore and Callen Moore. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
