He was predeceased by : his parents, Estle Tennyson and Mary Lou Baker Tennyson; his spouse Irmingrad Liebl; and his siblings, Mary Jo Ellis, Charlie Alton Tennyson, Wilburn Tennyson, Robert Tennyson (Monty) and Bobby Lynn.

He is survived by : his children, Donnie F. Tennyson (Annie) of Nokesville Virginia, Jene Getske (Ray) of Bolivar, TN and Monika Reese of Memphis, TN; his grandchildren, Jeremy Tennyson of Arlington, Randy Reese of Memphis, TN, John Reese and Amanda Sullivan of Cordova, TN; his siblings, Rochelle Rash (Glen) of Selmer, TN and Lloyd Dean Tennyson (Barbara) of Rossville, TN; and his niece Lorie Tennyson. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Selmer (160 Cypress Ave, Selmer, TN 38375). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at the Oak Hill Cemetery (500 Peach St, Selmer, TN 38375).
