He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer McCullar and Ollie B King McCullar; and his siblings, Charles, JB, Robert McCullar and Gladys Barham.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances McCullar; his children, Torie Scott (Bobby) of Middleton, TN and Clay McCullar (Jennifer) of Selmer, TN; his grandchildren, Ashley Garrison (Shawn) of Selmer, TN, Heather Blackburn (Justin) of Brownsville, TN and Clay Robert McCullar (Keirstan) of Savannah, TN; his great grandchildren, Jonah Garrison, Harper Blackburn, Seger Garrison, Taron McCullar, Stella McCullar and Kaceton Crain; his siblings-in-law, Virginia Sweat, Brenda Robbins of Selmer, TN and J. R. Tull of Bethel Springs, TN; Amy and Will Summers. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
