She was predeceased by : her father Hershel Vinson Brooks; and her brother Jason Dewayne Brooks. She is survived by : her mother Dorothy Gail Walker Latch; her husband James Burkeens; her children, James Anthony Burkeens (Haylee) and Emily Alana Burkeens; her grandchildren, Payslee, Kane, Asher, Axton, Addilee and Wyatt; her stepfather Mike; her sister Teresa Rorie (Tim); and her siblings-in-law, Alan Burkeens and Sissy Burkeens. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Selmer (160 Cypress Ave, Selmer, TN 38375). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at the Clear Creek Cemetery of Selmer, TN (1720 Lawton Rd, Selmer, TN 38375).
