Linda Kay Ward Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Kay Ward (Selmer, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 21, 2025 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Linda Kay Ward to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Gray and Frances Bell Gray; her husband Billy Ward; and her sister Janet McCann. She is survived by: her sons, Jeff Ward (Laura) of Lexington, TN and David Ward of Selmer, TN; her sisters, Shirley Qualls of Selmer and Jackie Cooksey of Selmer; her grandchildren, Cameron Ward (Destiny) of Cookeville, Zachary Ward (Kaitlynn) of Kenton, TN and Alayna Ward of Selmer, TN; and her nieces, Lisa Graham of Selmer and Lee Ann Gill of Selmer. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Selmer (160 Cypress Ave, Selmer, TN 38375). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at the Lake Hill Memorial Gardens (3320 Main St, Bethel Springs, TN 38315).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-9959.
