He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Gage and Willie Plunk Gage; his daughter Denise Yancey; and his siblings, Sandra Kiestler and Jerry Gage.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Kay Henson; his children, Mary Freeman (Terry), Jeff Gage (Kathy) and Andrea Schmedes; his grandchildren, Shaun Mullins (Amy), Amanda Gage, Carson Schmedes and McKenna Schmedes; and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Ethan and Keagan.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Selmer (160 Cypress Ave, Selmer, TN 38375). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church (6185 Rowsey School Rd, Bethel Springs, TN 38315).
