He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Cox and Christine Jewel Johnson Cox; his brothers, Jamie Cox (Linda Kay) and James Neal Allison; his stepfather Allie Wenford Allison; and his close friend Teresa Story.
He is survived by: his son Kevin Cox (Chrissy); his grandchild Skyler Lee Cox; his great grandchildren, Ryker and Hudson; and his stepson Shawn Story. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Selmer (160 Cypress Ave, Selmer, TN 38375). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery (6185 Rowsey School Rd, Bethel Springs, TN 38315).
